Chapter 5
"It is with bittersweet emotion that we gather this year to celebrate the life of The Goblin King after his tragic disappearance - an untimely vanishing from the many realms. He ruled with a stealthy claw and a fool's heart, rendering us helpless to all he offered. His words touched thousands of lost souls whilst his music bewitched all. The Mortal world knew him by many names, but one stands out from them all - Bowie. We knew him as Jareth."
Confusion is afoot in The Goblin Realm; tensions are at breaking point between The Goblin King's Royal Army and a faction calling themselves The Tusk Rebels. The Goblin King has disappeared, and the two corrupt and sinister Chancellors have claimed power, raising taxes, cutting benefits for the general masses and generally oppressing the working class in the Realm. Foul play is believed to be at hand, with many calling for an investigation into the Chancellor's immediate clench of control. The Tusk Rebels are campaigning against them and holding a rally (at The Rebel Cabaret) in aid of their cause, and raising awareness to expose the corruption of the Royalists.
All ye who mortals who dare, choose your comrades wisely as you step forth towards the Goblin Kingdom.

The Chancellors : Skraybor & Lerkbor
The two chancellors are the guests of honour at the Goblin Ball and will expect VIP type treatment around the event. With strategic seating in the Main Hall they have the best seats in the house to see the show, with this area also acting as their base. They often visit Le Fee Bleu Gentlemen’s Club run by their best ally Captain Thornsnap. They are dirty politicians set on screwing over the working-class goblins. Outspoken about the Rebels, they are sworn enemies but do not see them as a threat, yet.
Vice-Chancellor Skraybor is a gollum like figure who is small in stature but very cunning. He appears in the background and has had a pivotal role in building and sustaining the war. He whispers into the ears of each side and always seems to profit. The more dominant of the two brothers, he has no problem telling his Brother what to do regardless of his inferior status.
Chancellor Lerkbor is a pompous but oafish character who is swift to follow orders so as not to appear an idiot. He is too short-sighted to see that his own brother, Skraybor, is using him as a pawn and would betray him at a moment’s notice to further himself.
Ogre General:
One of The Locals and a loyal servant of the Goblin King. He has an extensive military history and relishes telling tall tales of his various victories. Full of pomp and grandeur, well spoken, if a little mumbly. A Bally-Tally Ho type chap. He is kindly, but fearsome. Once entrusted by the Goblin King Himself to lead the fight against the rebellion, he is now the personal bodyguard and servant of the Chancellors… in case of Rebel attack. The Ogre General likes to think he was once like Thornsnap, but was never quite as daring.
Captain Thornsnap:
A once dashing young captain who wasn’t afraid to get goblin blood over his shiny armour, Captain Thornsnap has retired from the Goblin Army and used his loot to set up a seedy Spearmint Rhino/Bunny Ranch style gentlemens' club – La Fee Bleu Gentlemen’s Club. He still retains his medals and likes showing them off to the patrons, most of whom are Royalist supporters and slimy politicians. Thornsnap works the door as he likes to greet his guests and sort the top clients from the riff raff. He is renowned for his verbal wizardry, powers of persuasion and pinsharp logic. He was the poster boy for the Royalists, but has stepped back from his passionate support of the crown. He's in good health, attractive, makes (most of) the goblin womenfolk swoon, and can easily part a goblin from his coin purse. The Gentlemens' Club is in direct competition with the adjacent Rebel Cabaret, but his violent nature is a thing of the past now, he wants to make love not war.

The Rebels
Stonefang:
A lean, female fire sprite, fearsome warrior. She is a hunter, trophies of past kills surround her. Bones and animal skulls. She also used to run the Giant’s Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum Butcher/Bakers Shop (she took over the business when The Giant retired and is quite the business woman). She is skilled with a knife, fire and has a sharp tactical brain. She is strong and quick witted, and has a keen eye for strategy. She is a key figure in the rebellion alongside The Blacksmith. She has become a figure synonymous with the Rebel uprising, an opposing political party to The Chancellors. She is of the goblins and for the goblins and respected in the Rebel community. She's not taken seriously by Royalist sympathisers.
The Blacksmith:
A strong, bearded troll, a blacksmith and the leader of the pack of The Rebel force. Leather apron, marks of his trade, metal and steel. His trade equips him well with swords and knives, and he embodies the working class who toil for the now absent Goblin King and The Chancellors. He represents strength and solidarity, but also has a wildness about him which makes him a fearsome opponent. Together with Stonefang he has become a public figure associated with the Rebels, and a pillar of the community. He can be seen canvassing and spreading the Rebel philosophy.
Mrs Kraygon:
A strong woman, who used to run The Speakeasy (2015 Ball) with her now deceased husband Mr Kraygon. She is a firm supporter of the TUSK Rebels and a fully-fledged TUSK herself. She runs and hosts The Rebel Cabaret which helps spread the Rebel word and entertains her followers. She is very political and outspoken against The Chancellors. She uses the platform of the cabaret and relishes the limelight.
